NHWPCA is proud to screen Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong, a documentary that was filmed over the course of one year at Portland Water District’s East End Wastewater Treatment Facility. Told through the eyes of the operators that keep the plant running 24/7, the film blends humor and humanity to showcase the day-to-day operations of the plant and the challenges facing the clean water industry, including aging infrastructure, emerging contaminants, and population growth. This film sheds light on a vital, yet often overlooked, service and underscores the key role water professionals and water infrastructure play in protecting public health, the environment, and our precious water resources. Unless Something Goes Terribly Wrong is now on a limited festival run nationwide. The film’s runtime is approximately 70 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A.
